200 - Flat Kolinsky Sable® is the finest quality hair for watercolour and ink as it is very resilient with a good belly, providing a reservoir for colour with an uninterrupted flow. Kolinsky hairs come to a needle sharp tip, with excellent memory, allowing the brush to snap back to it's original shape after each stroke. Series 170 - Retouch H.J. Pure Red Sable brushes are an equal mixture of 50% male and 50% female hair from a more southernly weasel. This brush will hold a lot of liquid and is springy and soft, with an sharp point. An excellent brush at a lower cost than Kolinsky sable. Series 165
